Steam Support
Steam support not resolving the issue that 30gb of my mobile data was robbed from me when installing Lost Ark through Steam. I did troubleshooting, I sent them my content logs, but they just reply back with the same thing. Telling me it's installed. I know it's installed, but why did it download 30gb of the game, then restart downloading from scratch.. they don't understand this. Get the same reply. Useless!!!

Why are you using mobile data to begin with? Steam is made for wifi downloads with a router or a hard line internet connection.

Not sure what you expect them to say or do. They are not responsible for your local system, nor your internet. Sometimes things happen an a computer looses data for some reason. It is rare, but it can happen.

It's the only thing I can use but that isn't the point, never had this issue before on other downloads via my mobile. If a game has a pause option it should of saved files it downloaded and locate them to resume it not delete the progress and start all over.

A computer don't just wipe downloaded content because you hit pause, never heard of it.

On purpose, no, but that doesn't mean data loss can't happen. If the drive suddenly disconnected , it could happen. There is also the Anti-virus software or other security software as well as disk cleaning software.

There are many reasons that can account for sudden loss of data.

The game was updated between when it released and now. Sometimes that'll cause your download to restart from zero if you paused it before allowing it to complete.

Yep, that is true too. If an update is released while downloading, it can mean the previously downloaded files are not longer current and need to be redownloaded.

As stated, Steam Support has nothing to do with your data and/or data caps. You're barking up the completely wrong tree.

If there was an upate before my download then it wouldn't affect it, I downloaded it new on 15th, the update was yday.

The files that had downloaded were on my computer but Steam didn't want to locate them instead complete replaced them all.

Steam Support has nothing to do with game updates either. That would be the game developer or publisher.

Then your system lost the files some how, simple as that.

Again, you are really confused as to what Steam Support does and what they can and cannot do.

Who controls the client then? The publisher? lmao

No the system did not lose my files, they were there but Steam client stated they wernt but they were in the content logs lol
