Yeah, tell me about it. I used to come look at the store just for joy. Now there's no joy, nope, nothing, klum, zevel.
That what I said: "Also I couldn't care less that there is 0 change for the currency to go back to US it annoying me just to look in store and see it in shakels that I don't even wanna look in store and see games that is also something that ruin the enjoyiment of using steam..."
Yes yes we all are divided in many thing, but steam works on US for a long time, so why change that ? I didn't hear a good reason for it and I don't accept that like I said before it just annoying and ruin the fun to even go through steam store even if I'm not gonna buy anything from there anymore, it ruin the eye shopping as well.
True if we want to make wave we need to blow air for the water to move, if you want them to do that you can just go on FB and talk in that group it not like it a secret one or anything.
Steam has grown big, and possibly it is running into legal issues with different countries.
Just my hunch, of course. They're not telling.
Yeah that can be a very good reason, and I'm sure that if that the reason they will not talk about it, but you know what I'm sure the real reason for this all will come to light at some point, maybe not today or tomorrow but it will, becouse nothing stay hidden for long. in the mean time they did a mistake, why they care about small country like Israel, well I'm sure they don't care that the whole problem, and if they will keep making mistakes they are gonna lose big time.
Having it in our currency does have the advantage for us that it changes with us, for good and bad
Also, no conversion rate if you pay with local currency that is an advantage over all I think
I don't know what you really expect them to say on the matter, Valve said they're going to give local currency everywhere, Isreal is one of many countries that got it, and honestly I think we are a bigger market then some will make one believe as we can see on the download stats we have a nice amount it seems:
http://store.steampowered.com/stats/content/
And i also post on the FB group, if you there i assume you have seen my comment, i am going to push a little more on the idea of the moves after it cool down a little, right now spirts are pretty high, so i prefer to wait for the guys to have a more cool mind before i make a long post to talk about what i think we can do, here on the other hand i think users are calmer, and are more likely to listen part of it as of the nice color back here that is helping the mind relax and think and not jump out
Don't it annoy you to see the store in Shekels???? it annoy the hack out of me.
As for the dollar to become stronger well that happen before it will be nothing new for us, we accept it with the conversion rate that is less then what we need to pay for games now days on steam, so for this change no ty.
Tell me something when you buy thing on Amazon and ebay and the like you buy them in dollars right not in NIS ??? so what the differnert, we are use to the dollar and we are used for it change, true something you will wait on something to buy but all in all it not a foreign currency for us, so I see no different it using it here as well, but steam or if one wanna be accurate - Valve (like I care how they call themselves) don't know that, they know nothing (or almost nothing) about those countries they change the currency for, and it show in the way they are responding that they don't even care to know or listen and when a compeny that depends on her ccustomers don't listen to them thing goes bad for them in the end.
As for FB I don't know what group you post or what you post there, as FB can go really fast with what going on there I might have missed it, I don't know.
The exchange rate is 1 USD == ~3.6 NIS.
That means that GTA V cost ~97 USD, right? Wrong! The real price is 59.99 USD !!!
What going on here?!?!?
And the lack of conversion by credit companies would've been a nice bonus, had the conversion rate suggested by Valve itself wasn't actually higher.

About FB:
I was mostly talking about the גיקיה as you seem to refer to it before
הגיקיה, הגיימרים החופשים, גיימרים בישראל, ועוד כמה קטנים יותר
I really do not think we need to think about it as a conversion rate as much, its the price they set not just a conversion of the dollar even if that is what they used to translate it, its not what it is now, now its a set price
