Now with that in mind, go to the store or metacritic and go through any releases you like the sound of - take some time to search and list what games you want via genre or whatever.
Then from that list, read reviews (not user reviews) - go to youtube and look up reviews there as well. Scrub out the games that no longer appeal.
Now you should be left with a list of games you like.
Pick accordingly. If you spend time doing this properly you won't be disappointed.
Put it this way - this is the method I use to buy games and I've bought thousands over the last twenty years and not one single one have I made a mistake buying. Not one.
