Might also be a Windows 10 thing as it depends upon native resolution too?
Try having a play around to match your native deskptop resolution with eveything else and try keepuign just the ONE resolution where possible.
Have Steam client and friends open where you want them, don't sign out of friends.
Close Steam Client from the Windows notification area > right click > Exit.
Both should close and sign out. Great.
Now open the Client from the Quick Launch taskbar Icon(if you have it) Let steam load the library up.
Do not click anything yet.
Now in the Library View click the game you want to play in the left side panel/list, it's details will load, On the right side window it shows the Sign In To See Friends Activity? Click that.
Friends window should now appear where you last left it.
By default i don't log into Friends automatically.
Edit.
So I tested your approach, B-o-B, and it kind of works. The thing is, I use the compact view, not the large one. But I found the way around, instead of Clicking on <Friends> <View Friends> you have to simply select your online status and then select <View Friends>. It seems that it all fks up if you click on <View Friends> before you logged in, because this little window does always what it wants and never remembers any position. I have to do it like that from now on, it is still annoying thou, they had it remember it's position too.
Thanks for this, but is there seriously not a better workaround than this at this day and age? lul
Same for me, when I'm automatically logged into friends...
But when you don't want to be automatically logged in, it reverts to the default position in the center of your screen :/
You read my post above yours ? (The EDIT part)
I did, was just hoping for a better solution because my muscle memory is too stronk for such workarounds :D
Yes, it should not be necessary, I am also still feeling offended by how this problem does not get fixed.
