Is there a way to disable the vignetting for the Steam screenshots (before hitting the F12 hotkey)?
Hello to whoever will read this. Sorry if this matter has already been adressed but I did a quick search in "Help and Tips", "Suggestions / Ideas" and in "Steam Discussions" with the quickword "vignetting" and couldn't find anyone asking this exact same question.

If you don't know what vignetting is, it's a term in photography that refers to the blackening of the corners of a photograph (due to very logical and explainable physical reasons for a real photograph, even taken with a digital camera).

But I noticed the Steam screenshots we take with the F12 hotkey have a strong vignetting applied to them. It's definitely a filter as, for screenshots, there's really no reason other than a filter applied to the image to make the screenshot look like a photograph.

While this effect can be cool sometimes, more often than not, it's something I (and probably many others here) would be glad to turn off. Hence my question: is there a way to turn it off? :-)

Thanks for reading and double thanks if you can actually help answer my question!

I don't see it in the screenshots that have been uploaded to Steam

Nor have I in the screenshots that I have taken.

Are you sure that it is caused by steam, and not by the game you are playing, as there are games which have such a thing applied by itself (and sometimes cant be turned off in the graphics settings).

At least i have never noticed such a thing on any screens i took.
Oh gosh! I didn't think it could come from the game itself! The game is Superliminal. I'll go check on its forum, then. Thanks and sorry for the trouble.

Looked at those one in the game's game hub. Some do and some don't, so it could be an in-game setting.

Ya, their game hub may be the better place to ask.
Thanks, I did post my question over there.
