Auto-post achievements/playtimes/whatever to Twitter?

Is there any sort of service (Zapier/IFTTT-like, even) that will auto-tweet when I receive achievements in a game?

If not, is there any sort of link I can manually share when I get an achievement?

I doubt this frankly.

PSN used to have a similar system which would auto-post to Facebook, and that stopped a few years back. I don't know why they binned it, but it did provide quite a method of abuse.

What sort of abuse? I remember this being a thing, but I don't know how/why it would be abused.

Many ways, frankly.

Most obvious one was where hijacked accounts would be used to spam certain things via the auto-posting. You can imagine what they could manipulate that to be.

There were other things, but I can't remember them offhand.

Basically, ANYTHING that exists can be abused.

Monitor your public steam profile page for new additions to your latest achievements, each type page content changes, extract the game title, achievement title, thumbnail etc... and publish to your social media. There are tens of services to tackle the 3 main tasks of: monitoring for changes > scraping page data > formulating social media post and publishing. I'd setup a Wordpress blog and grab each new achievement on there, publishing it as a post, and then you have the freedom to do anything with that....each time Wordpress posts, it can share that to X/FB/IG etc..

Facebook said that "PSN was spamming" Facebook webpages & they had issues with so many computing posting (from outside).

As opposed to posting from inside Facebook, as most of my friends used to be obsessed by Mafia of as Farmers. 🤦‍♂️
