"Clown" profile award?

I just got an email that my profile received a clown award. While I am glad that I will receive 200 tokens to spend on other awards, it can be seen as offensive, and it is publicly displayed as a badge on my profile. How do I hide it?

It should take a few minutes but you're almost guaranteed at this point.

it is engaging for the community, it enables more time wasting and poaching for the STEAM POINTS.

The system was just horribly implemented. At the very least point should have never been given with awards but if people wanted to waste them on awards they should be able to.

Freely given points just seems to make the system feel cheap and honestly not worth it when you can just upload garbage and beg for them and get 100s of thousands of them without any purchses where they should only be given.

The meme reviews and guides have hit new lows with hundreds, if not thousands of awards for the worst best ones users like.

It is a bit too much.

Yeah dude, i hate when you find all these low effort guides (ex. "how to walk") plaguing games, gets thousands of steam awards, but the ones with actual effort that deserves an award, end up being left in the dust.

It's amazing that those at Valve can't figure how bad this system is or just don't care, most of us saw all this coming before they even released the system.

That actually happend to me the other day. It recommended me a guide in the steam overlay "how to x" (basically a guide to improve) and I wanted to give it a try while waiting for my match to start. Well, it was basically a picture and two sentences like "uninstall" and "don't be bad". And for some reason: It had awards.

You really gotta love that everyone is following this unwritten rule that every post gets exactly one clown. Someone gave me a sack of points on another thread so I'm using some points to keep the pattern going here since I know I have more points coming.
