Help my steam account is suspended
Yesterday my main steam account got suspended for being mass-reported by some random guy I don't even know, he messaged me on discord saying he messed up and was really sorry and saying it was a misunderstanding I have been talking to the steam employee that has my account at the moment and I have to buy tf2 keys or something? its really confusing but my card declined when I tried buying the keys and the valve employee I was talking to said that my account is getting deleted I have literally done NOTHING wrong its all just a misunderstanding but my account is getting deleted anyway this is not fair at all I have spent over $460 on my main account and its all going to waste. The valve employee that has my account on pending ban is Brett Sanborn. Please somebody help me I do want to lose my account I couldn't sleep last night with the thought of losing all my progress, countless hours and hard-earned money gone to waste somebody please help. Please message me on discord if you can help me with the situation I'm in right now: yhtes#7736 I can explain the situation better on call.

That was a scam. They tricked you into giving them your account information.

There is no such thing as a pending ban.

Valve will not delete accounts.

Valve will never talk to you over Discord, only through support tickets.

If you have access to the account

Steps to take NOW:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

If you have lost access to the account

Account Recovery

Here is a guide that another Steam user was kind enough to make. It will help you navigate your way thru the recovery process if you are having any problems.

as stated, valve does not contact you. mass reports do nothing unless the account did something to violate the rules, and if it did, steam would action the account and you would need to contact steam support thru the ticket system to get it sorted out.

those were fake, if he has control of the account, you somehow gave away the log in thru a fake log in screen somewhere. all 3rd party sites are USE AT OWN RISK

I would also contact your credit card company and have them replace the card depending on what site they had you use.

HE IS NOT AN ADMIN, HE DOES NOT WORK FOR STEAM NOR VALVE. Get that thru your head, it was a scammer talking to you

Screenshots are easily faked. Valve would not send you a screenshot of their tools. You spoke to someone on Discord, not Steam, so they can link any account they want, even that of a real Valve employee.

Do as Wolf Knight suggests and follow those instructions to get your account back and secure it.

Follow the instruction Wolf Knight gave. The link is to a guide on how to get back a hijacked account, even with out the email.

Calm down, read the guide carefully and follow the directions given. Don't forget the rest of the post either as that will help secure the account.

You do not need to contact support. Just report the user, block and move on.

:qr:
I also had my so called "friend" over and his eye caught my easy to read password and he later stole my account but luckily I had Steam account proof which I delivered to Steam Support and they've recovered, happy ending.

Try to self-recover your account or contact Steam Support:
You can use the Help site to try to self recover your account or contact Steam Support if you are unable to.

If you are unable to complete the self recovery process, Steam Support will verify the account is yours and recover it for you.

When contacting Steam Support try to provide as much of the following as possible:

1.Proof of account ownership (See below)
2.Any possible Steam Account login names
3.Any possible email addresses used on the account
