Steam Achievement Manager and Achievement Stats
Hello everyone!

I was wondering about a program called Steam Achievement Manager, which is just a little program that lets you add and remove achievements from your account. But not about whether or not to use it or whether or not it's legal, but if the deleting or adding achievements from an account messed with the global stats. I know obviously when you get an achievement the stats for the achievement will rise with it, but if one were to use SAM to take away the achievement, then get it back later through the game, does that mess with the stats, does the stats go down to compensate or does it just stay the same and never change? I dunno it was just a random thought I had, anything that could help this mini mystery would be appreciated.

Steam/Valve don't care about it, but using it will likely break achievements preventing you from getting them legitimately later if you decide to reset them. Plus if you're a nut and unlock them all at the same time then people are gonna notice and mock you.

I know that, I'm asking about when you do it the little percent thing on the Achievement Stats page whether or not they go up and down if you remove it and then later retrieve the achievement later, either through SAM or naturally. Would the percent go up or down, would it act as if it was an achievement from an entirely new account then go up? That sort of thing.

Presumably it would go up and down but remember, SAM tends to break achievements from being earned legitimately later.

Though I could be wrong and it will stay as 100% or whatever forever.

They will change accordingly. Why shouldn't they?
However, there is an "implementation detail" that will screw with the average completion ratio. It will count any game you ever had an achievement in. If you remove the achievements from one, it will go back to 0 % for that game, but the game will still count against you in the ACR.
