But you DO need to understand the reason why actions like this often happen - BAD ACTORS, FRAUD and other bad behaviour. People being people.
YOU may have the result where you can see who liked your stuff and that's cool.
But consider that another person may get a joker award or something and it's likely to be seen as taking the piss. THe person who sees it thinks "wow, you bastard" and then starts antagonising and so on and so on.
So yeah, it's far easier to nip that in the bud by keeping it anonymous.
I'm all for options, but sadly I don't see way this to be overruled.
