As it is I 've largely ignored the event and carried on my usual routine.
Anyone else?
well, there's probably lunar new year sale from februrary 11th until feb 15th, mayber there will be badges.
if not, then just wait for summer sale...
If there are wonderful demos, you shouldn't need an incentive to try them out.
I get what you are saying...... BUT ....
With each demo played the badge could get levelled-up.
Now I know the obvious thing would be that some people would just download and play the required number of demos to level-up the badge .... BUT ... some people would also enjoy playing something new.
Maybe they just need the kick up the backside to do it .... like me.
If people want to try something new, they'll just download it and play it instead of asking for trinkets in the forums.
If you need a badge to motivate you to play demos, then you're simply not interested in trying out new games.
<Hmmm, I wanna try them, but I can't bother unless you give me a sticker everytime I eat a candy bar. I reaaly wanna try them, but I need a sticker to summon the willpower to do it.>
"Door's there, kiddo. You know the way out."
Consider you may be right, that there should be a badge to encourage such things. It MIGHT help promote it, but I would guess that the footfall difference would be tiny.
However, consider the fact that more badges at every opportunity kind of dilutes what people see in them.
