Is x64 Steam a thing?
I recently tried to kill all steamwebhelper.exe tasks to solve my friends list lags and randomly went to its datapath in the steam/bin folder and found x64launcher.exe, executing it does nothing, how to make it work or does it serve any purpose?

Looks like it helps with launching 64 bit games. Steam itself is 32 bit and doesn't need 64 bit, to be real.

It is not. There is no pressing need for a 64-bit client on Windows.

MacOS is a different story.
so theres no potential fix to get rid of any lags that came with that new steam update that literally makes 24/7 use of steamwebhelper exe?

It's a helper for launching 64 bit games. It will be launched when required.

No reason to kill the webhelpers, since they come back up when you access different parts of the client.

How's that related to Steam.exe being 32 bit? Steamwebhelper.exe isn't even the same binary!
All i know is that x64 makes stuff faster, so i thought why that isn't a thing for steam.
Like u literally get 1 frame per hour when you click on some friend from a friends list with 953 people

Considering the steamwebhelper is the browser part of Steam which is a huge part of the client ... no.
Wierd that the browser part handles the game libary, which it didn't do before.
Because that also slows to a crawl.

I'm guessing you're using a red windows color theme to make your games run faster too?
lol nah its blue

x64 primarily lets an application address more RAM. If performance problems are related to RAM then sure x64 would help. Otherwise not so much. Programs not using more than 2GB of RAM can probably run just as well as x86.

Eventually I would expect Steam to become x64. But I very much doubt you have more insight into the target platform (x64 or x86) than Valve's developers. And you're over simplifying it with your claim.

There should be an option that disables showing screenshots of friends when you click on a game
Or basically precache stuff before we are about to use them, but naah, steam has to be like 1 frame per hour when i click on garrys mod
