Not exactly studios, but black one-man shows or games with a black lead designer exist. And there is even a fund for them by no one less than IGN:

As said, there was a Latin American focused sale only weeks ago. Why pretend something like this can't happen with another ethnicity if there is a corresponding industry event.
(And it's not like the games of the current Quebec sales are entirely made in Quebec either.)

What do you think would happen if there was a white developers or causasian studio/developer sale? Far more complaints than the "latinx" sale, tons of media coverage and bashing, calling of racism, supremacy, etc. I'm willing to bet they'd never let that kind of a sale happen.

There wouldn't be anything because such an even wouldn't happen. You don't need to highlight the default.
In context of BHM: why isn't there any event highlighting the contributions of white settlers to the US? Because that's what the histroy books are all about.

In context of BHM: why isn't there any event highlighting the contributions of white settlers to the US? Because that's what the histroy books are all about.

Then by that logic such a sale would be entirely fine, seeing as Americans fought each other to end slavery and unify rather than follow other countries practices of slavery. So within that additional bit of fact, a US colonial sale would be interesting. Make it colonial, revolutionary, ww1/2 game and alt history games.

After all, History is history, but it still goes down to not making excuses. Once you allow one, you must allow them all.

Excusing it as "but it's in history books", so is everything else. There's also more than just US history books after all.

Likely just some protesting at their hq - maybe some broken windows but given the state probably looting too, else a ton of negative media attention, and annoying congress individuals screaming supremacy / racism, boat load of "how dare they"

At this point I'd almost dare them to do a sale of the sort just to prove that it's not just pandering to current trends or uplifting certain groups of people but not others.

This is why you just stick to sell product, get money. No need to alienate or anger even the people one is trying to pander to.

If you don't then it is indeed double standards and using what someone is in attempt to sell more by means of signaling, rather than treating them as a human you're treating them as a product.

Its interesting to see people be against this, especially when in other countries things have happened to other races and are the minorities, even horrifying things. So what exactly is the issue with doing the same for other races when things have happened in other countries? That, is why you must and should for all if you do for one.

You're focusing on us history, things happen in other countries as well, races have and do exist as minorities in other countries, and horrible things have and do happen to other races in other countries including the ones you seem against allowing to have their own.

The status quo varies across the planet, and is also another blanketing excuse from you as why not to, when you should.

Let's do a week for each race and belief. After all, if we want to be fair to injustices suffered, seeing as it has happened to all races - why not do so?

Heck, let's do a month for Jewish developers and as a Jewish history month, we all know what happened to them at the hands of not-colonialists and not-Americans.
