Community Patron Badge is stuck even months later

How do I make this Badge go away? It's appreciated, and I like it but it's stuck there on the front even when I buy more games and other things.

You can't. Certain badges are designed to 'stick' for a certain amount of time.
Trouble is, nobody outside Steam knows how long that is.
Also, someone can always give you another one.

congrats on 17 years service badge. a thread was made last month for all the 17 holders out there im glad to see people are still around from the first generation of steam. bit offtopic but saw you had the badge to.

Why, cause while the points store / awards are available they wont be going away.
There is 2 badges, Community Contributers, people giving you awards and the Community Patron awards you have given. I'd say they will persist until Steam removes the Points Store.
I happen to like this so maybe wont be any time soon.

I don't think the point store is going anywhere. So people are going to have to get used to those badges being on their profile screen.

I'm aware that the Point Store will stay, I just wish they didn't have the Badge stay in your Profile forever when it's just stuck there.

It might expire and drop off, eventually, if you don't receive a new one. If so, nobody knows how long that will take. The problem is that someone can always give you another one.

Well, I guess I have to tolerate it since you can't fix it and can't really do anything about it.

I hope they do something about this in a future Update, maybe not who knows. It's just so annoying to even have it there.

it wouldn't be so bad if these awards badges were simple/neutral like years of service or games owned but this specific design looks good only on certain profiles.
