Steam API get player statistics

Hi there,
I want to make something similar to leetify/csgo-stats and I wanted to learn how to access this data. So far I understood that I have to contact Valve for some oAuth2 code, I contacted them and waiting for response. Before I wen further, I wanted to understand how can I get all data from past matches and their history, just like when you pass Steam api key on leetify and it get you all matches info, where do they find that info?

I don't think you need to contact support for it any special code

Well yes, I can get those informations and I did. But I want to get player history of matches, like in personal game data.

.... that's literally not okay to even ask for without being a developer and having a contract with the players that says it's okay to collect.

Still I think we are not on the same page, I saw this library but where do this library gets info?
And yes every player will approve to get their personal informations.
