I had installed Mafia: Definitive edition and Steam deleted the game without my consent?
I had downloaded this game, after I bought it through Greenmangaming, installed it and even played a bit with it but went back to playing another game," Medieval Dynasty". I went to check today and it wasn't in my list of games anymore as if steam deleted it. i never deleted that game, I still have over 3 terabytes of free space in drive C, so there was no need for me to delete it. I also made a few achievements when I played it. I am re-installing it as we speak.

Has anyone had this type of problem before?

It's possible that the key you purchased through GreenManGaming was obtained through less that legal means. They do have a reputation of buying keys with spoofed credit cards and other means. So if that's what happened and the key you bought from them was flagged then it was revoked.
Yet the game is being downloaded by Steam again. Not to mention, wouldn't steam have communicated with me if that was the problem?

Steam wouldn't say anything. But if it's downloading again than it wasn't a revoked key. All I can say is it must have been some kind of corrupted file.
This can happen some times when the file that stores the info on the installed game is corrupted or the like
When you download it did it not discover the files were already on the PC and just checked they were all there and skipped it?

Do they? From everything I've heard, Green Man Gaming is a reputable source for Steam keys. They obtain them directly from game publishers.

Very much this, GMG is & has been a reputable, legitimate business for a number of years. I can only assume that Moogle is conflating them with other shall we say nefarious key sites.
While they were at one stage accused of selling unauthorised keys, which was refuted & changes made to their entire website to show how/where etc Ive never heard of them buying keys with stolen cards.
Greenmangaming is 100% legit keys, not stolen at all.
The OP has confused people - the game wasn't deleted from their account but his game was somehow uninstalled.

Steam does not uninstall games willingly - this could've been a cause https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8379-RYIP-2998
The game installed fine since yesterday. It was weird because after downloading it the first time I played for about 2 hours. But went back to playing "Medieval Dynasty" and when I checked for the game it was not on my account. But now it is again & so far no problems.
i guess bundlestars, indiegala and all them others are 100% legit?
