how can you see when a ban u have will be lifted?

first it said 2 months, i dont know when i got banned but it feels like 2 months already so looked to change it. now it says 8 weeks but it is not counting down? how can i see how long the ban remains or is it a bug and my ban is 2 times as long?

If Steam Supports "lifts" the ban, it would be gone in your Community Messages. Though, they have an ability to re-apply it after. It had happened to me once.

And if by "lifting" you mean "expire" then you can see the exact date in the exact Community Message.

Also, be aware that there are automatic Community bans based on the sheer number you get within a given period. 1 day is awarded for 3 suspensions, a week is for 5 suspensions, regardless of their sources (devs, mods, or Steam Support, though it's the last one issuing the most as the rule of thumb).

But I'm afraid, your "severness" has another role - my fifth ban was a week-long (as applied to the hub) one and was issued over "spam". It looks escpecially weird taking into account that all my previous bans were issued over "offensive content" and it's interpretations and all but the 4th were issued with lesser suspension.

That's probably it. Those "reasons" are completely user-defined, but "severness" goes up with the sheer number. That would be my claim based on the personal experience.

Note you keep breaking the forum rules which is why you keep getting bans. You got a community ban because you have SO MANY bans from SO MANY different game hubs it triggers an automatic community ban

There are several people on the forums with more than three bans to their name. Neither of them was ever community banned.
Scammers and impersonators get CB'd the very first time.

it seems like that what i suggested is the case, first it read 2 month banned from changing name it was like this for 2 months then it changed to 8 weeks. Now the weeks are counting down and i am currently on six weeks.

i got banned for double the intended period :(
