Steam showing status "Away" while I'm actually playing.
Noticed this weird behavior playing Fall Guys lately.
I'm playing normally, and when I open the Steam overlay (shift+tab) I see my status changing from "Fall Guys Away" to "Fall Guys".
Any ideas why Steam shows I'm AFK when I'm actually playing? It's quite annoying.

Obvious question but have you checked to make sure you haven't manually set it to "away"?

That's how this normally happens

Of course, I'm sure I haven't manually set it to "Away".
In fact, if that was the case, my status wouldn't automatically change when I opened the Steam overlay, it would stay "Away".
I'm not sure what's going on here, like Steam thinks I'm afk when playing and only when I interact with it (through the overlay) it updates... Very weird.
Could be a Fall Guys issue, haven't played any other games recently.

If anyone has noticed similar behavior, please share your experience.

Probably one of the many congestion or back end issues that's been going on lately.

Have you tried deleting the web browser cache and/or reinstalling Steam (remembering to keep your steamapps folder intact)?

That normally fixes a host of wonky behaviour.

Deleted web browser cache and cookies, hopefully that does the trick. If it doesn't, I'll live with this issue for a while, I'll avoid re-installing Steam for now. Thank you for your response!
if you use controller you go away since mouse and keyboard arent being used so steam thinks youre afk when you open overlay "you come back to the pc" so it makes you not afk

I'm not using a controller, and I'm pretty sure Steam can detect controller inputs. Something else is wrong here, a bug or a bad installation of Steam on my end. Thanks for your comment though.
