Is HourBoostr safe?
Hello. I want to make hours in a game, even if I'm not playing. I searched for some programs and I have found HourBoostr, but I don't know how safe it is to use it on my account.
If it isn't safe, are there any alternative solutions to idle hours?

for what purpose would you want to artifically inflate your playtime?

aside from that, why use a program at all? launch the game, then alt tab out and go about your business.. the process will remain active, so your playtime will be adding up

Thanks a lot for the help :)

P.S. I also thought that it makes hours with my PC turned off

Steam measures playtime based on activity of the process.. that process will not be running when your PC is turned off, so gameplay time would not be added (unless there is another PC somewhere logged into your account running the game)..

still curious as to why you want to artifically inflate your playtime

i noticed steam doesn't count hours when you are put yourself offline (even if you are connected to wifi) or just offline in general. any reason for that?

If you set your friends to offline it will
If you set the client to offline it stop communicating with the servers, so it cant update them that you play so its not counted
Time played is counted when connected only

Wanted to see if it does give you cards for the hours played. I wanted to se if it does work and if it is worth the risk of doing so, but I still don't trust this program, so I deleted it and the subfolders, thanks for the help anyway

so basically you can turn your wifi off and play a game and it wont count the hours so u can spam refund. until steam suspends you from refunding ofc

Many groups base experience on game hours.

which is an absurd idea in the first place..

a guy could play a game 8 hours a day for a year and still suck, a person could play it for 4 hours total and completely master the mechanics..

the idea that more playtime makes you better is in all honesty a rather childish idea..
