Steam VR Streaming from the Cloud - Shadow Game
Hi,
I would like to know whether I can stream directly from the cloud your applications without having to install into a PC.
I got this URL from my colleague and was wondering whether this is still valid:
https://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/shadow-game-streaming-price-availability-features/

If you have any other alternatives, please let me know.

Please also let me know how to set this up if streaming from the cloud is possible.

Thanks.

Yong

On Steam its on beta:
https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/features/cloudgaming

But it does seem like its mostly using NVIDIA GeForce NOW, so you can try that
There are a few companies that offer cloud gaming currently if that is what you wish to be doing, on Steam I am not aware of any that offer it from Steam it self at this time

O wait you talking about VR
Ok so il say it simply, I really really do not recommend doing cloud VR gaming at this time
Cloud gaming can look good and all, but you will have a delay, and that delay in a normal game, may be a bit of something to get used to, but can be handled even nearly noticeable if the game is not really really active

How ever in VR you need the speed so you will not get sick from movement and the like, so cloud gaming will be a horrible idea as you most likely will be getting sick really fast
There talking about all nice and all, but I think its likely to get you really sick really fast, and make the VR games unplable

Beside that never heard of this Shadow streaming service, so no idea how good they are
But as in the end there streaming a video from there servers to you, there will currently be a delay, and very likely motion sickness out of the roof, that means I really cant recommend it

Bit old topic but I have the same question / hope. Thinking that remote play allow using USB device I thought that maybe it could be possible to allow the "informations" from the remote client (laptop) to another computer / cloud.

I know that from the view of latency it's not the best thing to do, but it looks like it's working for people and it could still be a nice adition for the remote play part.

Now, I'm just guessing how it works maybe I'm competely wrong but if someone from Steam can give a thought if it's possible it would be awesome.
