Seriously. Like every other day, i click on a game on my desktop and it makes me sign in when im set to always be signed in, and then it makes me RE fffffing DOWNLOAD the game!!! Nobody has time for this sh*# . Ive downloaded almost all the games i actively play DOZENS of times now and i bet you anything in a day or two I will have to download them AGAIN!!! WHY STEAM??? WHY? WTF did i ever do to you!? I give you my money, you give me this!? Figure it out !

Do you run CCleaner or something like that?
It sounds like something on your PC is deleting Steam files or your files are being corrupted
It really should not happen

One thing to try is to exit Steam before you turn off your PC sometimes closing Steam from outside can corrupt some files that will make it "forget" games and login

Steam does not uninstall games unless you tell it to.

If they're not showing up as installed then you are either incorrectly shutting it down, or something is blocking it.

Make sure that steam is allowed to properly set cookies: the client works in a browser format and as such it's required that it has access permanently.

Your PC is what's causing this, a program is not allowing Steam to run correctly. And also as stated above - if you shut down incorrectly Steam will sometimes get broken outright, but that's a different issue than you talk about.

Thank you for this ! Looking back there were a few times that the game was taking forever to close and i had to leave so i just shut down the pc. Good to know
