This may scratch that itch.
There isn't any, I have looked...
You can do your own research, & try various Mech based games,
however none of them will have that same feeling you had with Armored Core...
However, there is still hope...
2 things:
1.) A PC Gundam game was just released for the first time on PC, that's actually good...
2.) From Software is releasing a PC game called Elden Ring on Microsoft Store...
Dynasty Warriors Gundam Franchise is the best Gundam games i've seen, & they
are also on PlayStation, so the fact we got something on PC shows hope...
From Software, if Elden Ring gets released, maybe they'll port Armored Core at
some point, no?
PS: I have read about Daemon X Machina,
but judging by the Photos, it to me, will probably be the closest thing
to Armored Core, but that does not mean it will feel the same...
The Colors look off, & I get the feeling it's too cartoony looking...
Oh, well...
It doesn't play/feel the same as Armored Core but, IMO, it is fairly close. One of my only major complaints with it is the Overboost/Quickboost mechanic. Overboost you need to hold down the boost button(you basically "normal boost" automatically for free) so it feels more like a "sprint" than a massive boost in speed. Quickboosting has a sort of weird delay if you try to change directions quickly with it. E.g. you want to double back with a QB to gain distance and change strafe angle, there's a ~2 second delay with QB'ing because your mech performs a "spin" animation. However you can get around this by manually turn the camera and QB'ing during your turn.
That aside, game is pretty solid to get an "Armored Core" experience. There's a few other things I dislike about it but QB/OB was the biggest issue to me since I heavily relied on those for PvP and doing "challenge" runs in AC4. Personally, I really want another "good" Armored Core game. Would be cool if they remastered/remade AC2 or 3 since they'd have lots of Lore/stuff to play around with. (lots of corporate warfare and tech combined with weird ancient tech stuff in those games would allow a Dev to pretty much add anything and have it still fit lol)
