Explain what you want to do and make sure you ask to refund the money to your Steam Wallet.
Hope for the best, they don't have to give you a refund so it's down to luck after that
Yeah it doesn't hurt to try, Good Luck
"We will not be granting a refund at this time as there is no evidence that the product has a major defect as defined under Australian law."
You said there was a defect?
You were told to detail it exactly as you have here.
So what DID you tell them, because not having a reason AND the text about faulty goods under Aussie law leads me to believe you either missed loads out or didn't phrase it correctly.
So please tell us what you wrote EXACTLY.
What?
What did you say in the manual ticket?
No support likes seeing legal shenanigans where there is none, great way to be blocked from future ability to refund anything.
No that was just the refund option, I was very honest with them and wrote down exactly what the problem was but as ElvisDeadly first wrote, it was (I think) automatically rejected.
I did do a manual ticket and They have refunded me the money so all is good :)
It just took them a couple of days to see it and get back to me, I am quite pleased with Steam.
Ah, some confusion. I think we all thought you'd said it was defective in the manual ticket.
Yeah, no matter what you wrote on the automated refund option it would be rejected. The text box and the 'reason' are just data collection on why you are refunding, time owned and time played are what it looks at.
Thats why in these situations you need to go the manual ticket route and explain clearly.
Anyways, glad you got your refund.
