why my steam download so slow?

when i download any game my download too slow and always not running download... i see my unifi ping its good... but when i download very suck

i always get maximum download for the speed i use...
but it will slow down a bit if i start watching youtubes

but i never open anything... just steam and download... but still like hell slow and always stop my downloaded... my unifi its 500mbps... but still like this... my ping also good

A few things to note:

Steam downloads show in MegaBYTES per second
Internet speed is measured in MegaBITS per second
Anything between you, your ISP, and the servers you download can slow you down.
Steam downloads and extracts in chunks; if you're using an HDD you'll likely see spots where the download is slow, then high and repeats. SSD/NVME can usually keep downloading at full speeds.

To add to Orion's post above (which is absolutely correct).

It does depend on each game too as they all have their own way of downloading. Some will just happily stream away in one long download continuously. Others, like Ark SE, will download a chunk, decompress and write data, before resuming again. And so on.

So it can APPEAR that downloads are behaving weirdly.

Also, your hard drive can be the bottleneck, not necessarily your net connection. If you check your Task Manager, you might be able to see evidence of this - your disk usage, if it's high will be the reason.

So it really depends on what Orion said about Megabytes and Megabits per second, and hard drive usage/your system, plus what game you're downloading.

First of all move close to your router, if you aren't already there.
If you are using many devices simultaneously or many people are using wifi at the same time and it is bound to slow down your speed.
