my bank now doesnt give us to create an VCN acount and i wonder if i can still buy game on steam. usually im using VCN using CVC for those "3 digits code" is valve allowed us using CVV2 for that transaction ? im using fanatical to buy bundle and it show "CVC/CVV/CID" is steam also use those 3 name i never know what its mean but. my bank keep telling to me the bank wont use vcn anymore now you need to use 3D-secure which i dont understand what its mean..

All credit cards, debit cards and such should have the appropriate security check data request come up - CVV or otherwise.

If it's not doing now, then that's a matter for your bank to address. Talk to them about getting a better card that offers this, I guess.

Note that CVV/CVV2 are functionally all the same thing. It’s just the 3 digit number on the back of the card (or the 4 digit number on the front of Amex cards)

3D-secure is more just the existing “verified by visa” thing where if a site has it enabled, it functionally just forwards your banking institution to log in and verify your card

Note that basically your bank is deprecating virtual credit cards. But your card still has to support the old CVV method since not all sites support “verified by visa”

In reality you’ll just be asked for your CVV Code to do internet transactions and will have to use your existing card number to do so. Nothing really changes on your end. You can still make purchases anywhere including steam.

It still works really, a lot of banks are deprecating virtual credit cards. honestly though its just a scam by Visa to have merchants use "Verifeid by Visa" which nest them even more money per-transaction in the name of 'security'.

I don't think so mate, there's no setting for the OTP. BNI totally shat the bed by deleting VCN.
