Haven't been able to post comments on screenshots and guides today.

Been asking friends and they got no issues posting at the moment. Been trying since five hours ago and I keep getting this error

"Sorry, some kind of error has occurred: There was an error communicating with the network. Please try again later."

I've had this happen before but it usually its just a momentary issue that clears up after a minute or two or at most an hour or so.

Anyone having this same issue with steam?

I'd appreciate any feedback on this.

Yeah, with some Workshop discussions. Can't post anything without getting that error.

Can you post comments on your profile or announcements? If you can't add comments anywhere then I'd assume you reached some kind of daily limit.

I can post on profiles and here obviously. Can't in guides and probably anything that shows up in the activity feed like screenshots. Let me check.

Daily limit eh? Don't think I posted that much at least relative to other days... Also haven't posted today I posted yesterday and last night only.

Same with me. Can't post anywhere. I get that same error message. I assume a server has gone down somewhere.... Not sure what else it could be.

Alright I was thinking that had to be it. It's not a problem on our end it's something with Valve's servers affecting just a select part of the user base for some reason.

Of course since Valve never communicates anything it's up to us to sleuth around until we can figure something out.

Now to hope they fix it before hours become days :|

I mean I can still upload screenshots just can't comment on them. Very selective issue.

I can *edit* guides and Workshop items, but I can't comment on them. Haven't tried commenting on a screenshot.

I've been unable to post comments on my or other screenshots since midafternoon (the first time I tried). The message I get is identical to yours, peremptor.

It seems much more likely a server issue.
