ValiDATE
So...just found out about this racist trash of a game on youtube. It's developers are openly racist towards white people, and somehow I can't access the games (demo) store page in order to report it. Does that mean Stream is in the process of removing it? Or is Valve on the woke train like some of these other companies that are okay with racist double standards?
Lemme post a little bit from the forums rules.
Soliciting, begging, auctioning, raffling, selling, advertising, referrals
Racism, discrimination
Abusive language, including swearing
Drugs and alcohol
Religious, political, and other “prone to huge arguments” threads
It seems racism and discrimination aren't allowed here, but people can post games on steam that are openly racist and it's no problem?,(just as long as it isn't directed at a minority, right?)
Swear to God ill never use steam again if they don't remove this trash from their platform.

Different rules for games and user generated content like the forums. You just posted a part of the rules for user generated content. Things that you can't post on the forums are allowed in games.

As for the game you mentioned, it comes up on steamdb and in the store when searched but there's no store page for me at least.

If they seriously allow that on this platform I will be sooooo disappointed.

If anyone is curious about the full rundown. This is literally disgusting.

first, have you heard the old adage there is no such thing as bad publicity? never heard of htis game until you brought it up here.

second, "DBLTAP: I thought that probably there would be people who would look at ValiDate's cast — probably white people would do this — and they'd be like, "Where are the white people?" In the universe where you don't reach that funding goal and this character doesn't make it into the game, what would be your response to that question?

Dani: Who cares? I'm going to be a little mean here, but the gaming industry is meant for white people. Every game, every popular title, has a white person in it. [If you're disappointed] if you can't find a white person in ValiDate, this game's just not for you. If you want that white representation so badly, then go find it somewhere else. There are hundreds of visual novels that you can find and play as a white guy, or a white girl, finding your waifu. What's the opposite of waifu?"

just a small snippet of their interview.

now, this might just be a bunch of people getting together to see how many people they can sucker into getting to buy what turns out to be a truly racist game(edit:this is my guess at the moment. just looks to much like...not sure how to word it but it does not look right. could be wrong). don't know until it actually comes out. right now, it is just a dating game with no white people and once black girl that said she hates em. out of 12 people, that has to be a pretty close to accurate representation of reality

anyways, have fun

If it said "on god, ♥♥♥♥ black people" instead of "on god, ♥♥♥♥ white people" no discussion would be necessary because people would literally LOSE THEIR MINDS until it was removed. I don't care who they decide to put in their game, I'm more concerned about the open racism and blatant hatred of white people by the dev team...
But I get it, because they're black they can do what they want and us white folks have to just sit back and take it.
No...sorry, that isn't going to happen. I'll raise hell for as long as it takes until it's gone.

and had you simply reported it and let steam do their thing, which i guess they did seeing as how i cannot get into the store page, nobody would have been the wiser. now, all the people that would have never have heard of this game are going to go to that page and fund the kickstarter.

just a matter of getting control, partner

If you can not access the game's store page, then it may have been removed already.

I can tell some of you didn't read the OP. That's okay though, if steam is taking action, I'm happy.

could have worded that better. you should have asked how to report it without giving the name. i am tempted to get it just to see what i can do even if it winds up being a "who can we get to buy this racist thing"

It's not even a racist game. It's a count down timer of how long the cops knee was on George Floyds neck once the timer reaches 0 it closes out. It's a tribute to Mr.Floyd. Nothing racist about the game and all money raised goes to his family. Nothing at all racist about it so all the outrage is fake outrage.
