Will more developers bring their flash games to Steam?
Ninja Kiwi has brought a lot of their flash games to steam since flash will no longer be supported soon. Do you think more flash game devs will follow?

Either that, or they'll switch over to HTML5 web frameworks.
You might be interested in a project called BlueMaxima's Flashpoint[bluemaxima.org] It's a project attempting to archive and emulate as many flash projects as possible.

There's a version (Infinity) where you only download the games you want to play (but doesn't have auto updates), and a version (Ultimate) that just downloads everything.

They don't work in that format. That's why this is a problem. Flash works just fine, but apple et al decided to bury it, thus it's being buried.

Newgrounds has its own launcher (which ... only works for me when I'm NOT logged in? I don't understand that), which does work for the one game I do want to play, but I can't just download the game and run it on my own computer.

So I do REALLY hope that people partner with Steam to get these games to us. I would be MORE than happy to pay for them, bundled or separate, honestly. They are a very valuable part of internet history, and to just completely dis them (along with many MANY other things: doll-making games which I'm very fond of, for instance) is not just rude but telling of the way they want to dominate the internet now. :/

Well that and it does have a long standing history of security issues.

Last Stand, Black Knight, Inspector parker, we already had the entire Popcap library ported over. SO there's good reason to hope.
Yeah, I'd second that there may be good reason to hope too.

There's one major reason why - these games that have been playable for years have the benefit of user data so they KNOW their games are popular. So, this might be the push neede for them to get them hosted and ported elsewhere.

I'm all for it. There's been a number of games from Kongregate and other sites I've enjoyed over the years, not least of which Gemcraft, which have had big success on here.

Fingers crossed.
