My backlog is huge regardless, so there's really no point in trying to get access to even more games.
Why limit yourself to one platform just because you want to be a "PC Gamer"?
I should have worded my thoughts a bit better.
IMO, depends on your gaming habits. I have Consoles too but this generation I only got the PS4, there are a lot of titles I prefer on it than PC. There's a lot of Co-op stuff among my friends so I use PS4 for those kind of games.
However when it comes to Singleplayer or Strategy/Roguelikes I'm PC all the way most times. Plus PC has the biggest/best Indie games, with only the most successful coming to consoles. Not to mention the ease and variety of Modding on PC compared to consoles.(bethesda console mods are a complete joke IMO, whereas PC has nexus mods)
So, IMO, just go where you major gaming habits are. If you mostly play SP or something, then go for PC. Just keep an eye for future consoles since they may actually be tempting.
There's no need to go exclusive, except with possible partners ;)
It all depends on what you're comfortable with. I prefer my story driven games/RPG's (my "main" gaming) with a controller in my hand and sitting on the couch. I prefer other genres through Steam, though.
