Black hole background is not physically accurate
Real black holes warp light around them so you can actually see what is behind them, which looks way cooler. This kind of bugs me.

Well it's a cool looking graphic, not an accurate representation of an astronomical phenomenon. You might be happier adjusting your expectations.
That's what I want from my profile backgrounds: real physics. Sorry, anime fans, women will never look that in real life.

It will sinks your GPU performance into void, so yes it's pretty accurate ;)
I know.

If Christoper Nolan can get Kip Thorne to work with him, then Gaben can too.

So, quit working 24/7 on HL3 Gaben and give Kip a call. The community wants accurate rings of fire, photon spheres and relativistic beaming for spinning intermediate mass black holes (no stellar mass or supermassive please - they be old news)

It's artistic, if you don't like it then just don't get it.

At least they didn't try and make it look like a hole, better than expected from Valve.

I agree it looks half arsed, if you are going to make a nice animation of a black hole, rather do something like this: https://i.redd.it/ug05ha46uwl21.jpg
yeah we all want that gargantua blackhole from interstellar

It's a Graphic Wallpaper made to look like a Black Whole, it's an Art style,
meaning it's not always going to be accurate...

What you want is also Innovative, & Creative Art for your Wallpaper, something I seriously doub't STEAM wants you to have...

Otherwise Valve would of fixed the Library Issues back in 2019 after people complained about it...

They don't seem to care what Users want anymore, because it's all about them now...

PS: This is what Going All Digital Allows Developers to do, it puts them in power over Users on their Platforms...

Yep this is become a huge issue, consumer right bodies are going to have step up and force companies that wish to "lock purchases" onto a platform to stop ignoring all the issues, or start paying out massive refunds for customers to move away.

If it were accurate it would just look... well black.

What issue?

Cool, I didn't know Neil Degrasse Tyson was on Steam.
