Let me delete hours played
I don't want CS:GO to be at the top of my list

Those 700 hrs were collected mostly by afk while spectating tournaments for drops and it was back in 2014

Now I don't even turn it on anymore

The game does not represent my gaming taste at all but for some reason I cannot delete it from hours played history.

Not being able to do that is stupid and should be implemented

Go here...

Search and click on game, choose "I want to permanently remove..."

What Hotsauce mentions is an advanced hide. The game gets hidden from the profile and can be restored at any time.

What list?

The list of games on your profile only show those you played last, so it's easy to hide. And your gamelist... well, people can set their own sorting order anyway.

I don't think it gets hidden from my games and hours played history. I tried permanently removing it long time ago and didn't work so I got it back

Was there a change or something in recent years?

*Plays a game for hundred hours*
Alright let's turn the time playing to 1 hour
*Refund the game*

See why hours of playing important there?

Even if that was possible, Valve always keeps correct times stored. Offline play is one thing that is not counted for the user to see but Valve can see it.

Then let me make it disappear from my games list at least

Even if i permanently remove it from my account it still stays there and shows hours played

I assume you start on the library page?

Just create a new section to sort games you do play and put it at the top, you can drag the sections around how you like.

The new library design is actually kind of nice for how it let you organize things better.

I don't think I ever clicked that before ha ha!

Too bad you can't set the page default to played recently instead but I guess that is just showing all your games by default. You might be better off organizing your library to function the way you want.
