How to remove corruption from your steam client.
I got tired of seeing developers trying their best to sneak sponsored streamer content onto our clients wether we like it or not. Since i didn't want my name associated with greed, corruption and bribery like streamers for example, that are well known to receive anonymous tips from developer accounts, i decided to take matters into my own hands as i don't want my name linked to theirs in any way.

Go into library and set your settings such as this and restart steam and all the nasty feed will be gone and steam will run a little better too, if only the developers at Valve would listen to gamers, we don't want another social platform linked to our games, thank you.

What sponsored streamer content? Or do you mean the community content?

Aye, x4 for example had a article with cohh in it, i don't want that on my account. It was on the front page where i look at dlc and achievements etc.

I'm not sure how you see corruption in them wanting to let people know that if you want to see someone playing the game when and where there is a planned livestream.

Don't get me wrong its fine if you don't care and would rather not see it but its really not that big a deal.

i consider myself a honest individual and i'm certainly not rich or greedy. So when i see a streamer like cohh lie about the state of games for the sake of his sponsorship, it is a big deal to me sorry.

I understand he wants money, but where i am different is that i would never lie here or on screen for the sake of money, people are flesh and blood and money is just paper.

If the developers at Valve didn't listen to us, how did we end up with those options? ;)

I guess they listened a little bit, you're right.

"If only Valve listened to gamers".

What makes you think they didn't and that YOUR opinion equates to ANYONE else, let alone the majority you seem to be claiming. I'd like to see evidence of that.

I take that back, the corruption of a nobody came back to my steam after i restarted.

https://gyazo.com/e06e50c84a59adc66cab8328a8198e7e it seems there is no way to remove this junk from my game pages other than reverting to the old steam ui.

revert back to the old steam here and force updates off.

\so are you going to ignore County Dandyman, or are you going to fulfil your burden of proof and demonstrate evidence of your claims?

Not sure who that is, i have all the proof i need right here, if you want it yourself then i guess you have to work for it, won't you ?

And how nice to be able to see my game page now, cleaned from all the corruption and bias we have in the world today sadly.

I don't use my game's page to see what streamers do with their time, this is not a mobile platform, it's there to launch the game only, my ram is for the games not Steam.

It now only use 110mb, but it's still too much from the 40-50mb it used to use.

Not sure who it is? It' s the comment right above mine!

And no burden of proof does NOT work like that. It's YOUR claim so YOU are the one who has to prove it. That is absolute - it applies to everything and in every situation. That's perhaps the most basic piece of logic there is.

So, come on, where's your evidence for your claim? If you're so sure of it, it's going to be easy to demonstrate, isn't it?

Client isn’t “ours.”

This is further assertion-without-evidence. Coupled with, I wit, rather fallacious appeal. “Everyone knows,” even if demonstrated, doesn’t mean “true.”

Just because you're ignorant, doesn't mean it's not true.

Just because you say something exists doesn't mean we have any reason to see you as anything more than another liar throwing a tantrum that people don't agree with his every wish.
