I mean we're not dealing with anything that has a huge amount of value and some people just value those almost worthless things differently than you. Is that stupid? You have the optimal value for nigh worthless digital nonsense sorted out?
a few are worth 4 or 5 cents, but I rarely get a card worth more than that.
which is the point of my complaint.
and I just realized, it's more than 50 cards. most of my cards only give 10 or less gems but a good many booster packs cost 750,850, 1000, 1200 gems to craft.
a few cards are worth 20 gems and i have one worth 32 gems. i dunno what's with that, like does the developer set the gems values? why does a card from south park fractured butthole convert to 14 gems, but a card from midboss converts to 32? while a card from headlander is only worth 6 gems, but a card from iconoclasts converts to 17 gems?
why am I gonna destroy 100 cards to get enough gems to craft a single booster pack that might be worth 10 cents or open it to get 3 more cards worth 3 cents each (1 cent for me, since Steam demands a 2 cent tribute from each one. . .).
The emotes you have just published are the non-marketable ones you buy with tokens. I am talking about the ones you earn from crafting event or trading card sets.
It is an alternative for those who don't want to deal with trading or the market.
100 random cards for other games vs 3 cards for a game you want to make a badge for.
The value is subjective. It may be worth it to someone who doesn't trade or use the market.
that's not my point. I'm not complaining about being "forced to trade 100 cards for 3 cards" , i'm pointing out the stupiditiy of the design that if someone "wants" to craft a booster pack, they have to destroy 50-100 cards to do so and what do they get in return? 3 more cards.
the fact that they "don't have to craft the booster pack" and can "just ignore the gems system and sit on their cards or sell them for a penny a piece, while steam makes twice that from each transaction" is irrelevant. the system is still stupid
There are games where you can't even trade/sell the cards, so what are you going to do with them? Will them into new cards?
