The steam mobile authenticator sucks

It loads slower than my dad's going to get back from getting milk at the gas station. I'd rather prefer to verify via email than using my outdated iphone.

Is there a way where i can just use my email? I hate having my market listings on hold for 2 weeks.

You can use email and wait 15 days for each listing, or use the app and not wait.

I've got mine on an ancient Android Tablet whose OS is only just above the minimum requirement and I have no real problems with it.

yes. its an ancient artifact discovered by archaelogists.Founded in ancient greece, it was a prototype for something like a smartphone that was soon to be invented until that one emperor or some ♥♥♥♥ burned the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ library down and everyone forgot that the phone existed. crazy that I still have it.

so how do you connect your phone number to it if its a tablet? im using my friends old phone without a sim. its the iphone se and we both had one. except i was stupid and broke mine.

You need an active number and a phone that can receive the SMS to confirm it to enable it on the tablet.

If you have an active auth you dont need a phone at all to put it somehwere else.

The phone number is only needed for the single SMS message with the code to set the app up. The app itself can be installed on ANY compatible device, even a phone with a completely different number.
