Can developers see how many people wish-listed their game?
If not, I think this feature would be essential to Steam. Knowing that a game has high wish-list count could further incentivize them to have a sale, and if a sale fails to increase purchases, the developer would be wise to decrease the price even further.

Yeah they can already see that, believe they also can see how many people follow a game.
They have statistical info on their games, yes.

:qr:
Yes they have this information.

i bet steam has information out the wazoo on EVERYTHING. how often people look at it, wishlist, watch live gameplay, how many friends have it, how many wishlisted it, searches done for it ... you name it.
valve is nimble about most things and have invested heavily into data.

I never doubted that Valve had the info, just clarifying that they give it to the owners of the game.

Don't know if it matters - I wish list everything I might want to buy on sale - so much faster if there is a sale. Does not mean I want to buy it ...

Don't worry, I'm sure sensible devs are well aware of such things.

I use the wishlist as reminders too - I just bung things on there that I might want to buy at some point, or I might want to look further into later as I'm too lazy at the moment, and so on.

I bet a massive swathe of people are not strictly using it that one way, and that's why any reasonable person would use the data as a guide only and not hard and fast.

i use it to track games as well. i ignore what ill never buy, leave things alone im not sure of, and if it looks like i might buy it one day maybe ... then ill wish list.

The OP is not a game dev. He can't view "Sales & Activation Report Portals."

:qr:
OP didn't ask to see or view the data.
OP specifically asked if devs could see this information.

Telling him to view content that can not be accessed by regular users, yeah.
