Is this considered cheating and is it bannable?
My old mouse broke and I bought a new similar one.
It's a cheap 6€ gaming mouse, it's just Plug&Play, no customization software, macros or anything.
Previous mouse had double click button (I click once and PC register 2 clicks), but when I hold that button on this new mouse it spams 10+ clicks per second.

Basically it transforms any semi-automatic weapon into fully-automatic.
It makes some weapons really overpowered, like AR-15 in KF2, Dual pistols in L4D2 (or any game with dual pistols), some pistols in CSGO, in some games it can empty whole mag in less than 2 seconds.
In some games where you have to click fast to swing sword or quickly stab enemy, I can just hold that button and deal maximum possible amount of damage, etc.

I know that using scripts that do this can get you banned in some games, but on this mouse it's hardware button and no scripts are running.

So my questions are:
-Is this considered cheating? It obviously gives me a huge advantage in some games, but it's just a mouse feature that I didn't even know existed until I bought this mouse.
-Can I get banned in any game for this? There are no any scripts running on my PC, but can game's anti cheat mistakenly detect it as cheat and ban me? And even if in games like CSGO someone reports me for using scripts, can other people that are reviewing CSGO overwatch case think that I'm using scripts and report me for that?

For VAC, no.

Game bans, depends on the rules the game developer lays out. Some do and others don't.

I think you answered your own question here. If it gives you a huge advantage, I suggest you do not use it.

As said above, VAC won't care but you might get a game ban.

PUBG bans for macros and mouse macros. Your mouse 100% looks like a mouse macro and doesnt behave like any 'normal' mouse should.
They could only detect it if actual human is looking at me shooting, or if game detects that I'm shooting too fast.
VACNET would pick this behaviour up the moment you fired one bullet and that would be automatically referred to Overwatch who would authorise a ban to be applied. More and more games are also tailoring their anti-cheat systems to detect modded controllers or macro mouses to gain an unfair advantage.

Don't use that mouse to buy something you will end up with 30 of the same item all charged to your credit card.
Can be useful sometimes
I'd know what to do with 30 of these :GDEasy:

Here's video of me spamming LMB as fast as I can and just holding autoclick button in KF2

You can see a big difference in rate of fire

You people told me that I would probably get banned in PUBG for using this.
Can you give me a list of games that would probably ban me for using this, so I can avoid using it in those games?

Yep, but it's not like those mouses where you install mouse software and set up buttons and autoclick there.
Whatever this mouse is doing, it's doing it internally and then sends signal to PC like I'm actually clicking LMB.
It even works when I plug it in my phone.

If game or anticheat is looking for any script running on PC, it won't find anything.

They could only detect it if actual human is looking at me shooting, or if game detects that I'm shooting too fast.

It's exactly the same thing. A macro just sends commands faster then humanly possible. A macro clicking a mouse and you clicking the mouse are identical. The only difference is the speed. Anticheat's look for more then just script's, they look for stuff that isn't humanly possible to do like clicking at that speed.

You've gotten your answer repeatedly. Using that function in any game with online competitiveness can and probably will result in a ban.

Any game that has a competitive multiplayer or leaderboards could ban you.

Yes. Please report yourself to the nearest... edited for your happiness and consumption.
Like I said, most heuristics will see that as abnormal and ban you

You're free to use it if you want. Just dont come whining in here when you get a ban on PUBG. You've been warned.

Is that bannable? Yes.

Use at your own risk.

Asked this on KF2 forum and devs said they won't ban for this.
I guess I'll have to ask this in every multiplayer game forum and wait for devs response.

Or. Hear me out. Maybe. You know. Just buy a new mouse that doesn't do that.

I wouldnt expect themto care in co-op games.

Ask in multi competitive games. Youll get a different opinion.

Yep or check the game licence for conduct conditions. It does vary between games - CSGO will likely see you game banned just through a VACNET detection that is sent to overwatch whereas PUBG actually warns players prior https://support.pubg.com/hc/article_attachments/360018167374/K-369.jpg

Why would I buy new mouse when this one works perfectly fine?
It has both normal LMB and autoclick LMB and I like it.
It's really hard not to use it when that button is literally one millimeter from my finger and I know that it's easier to hold it than spam LMB, it gives me faster rate of fire and I won't damage LMB by spamming it. (I broke click thing of LMB in my previous mouse by fast clicking it for years.)

I just asked here will using it get me banned in different kind of games, and I got some good answers.

You can use it as you wish, but I think everyone just wants to be sure you understand that it might get your account banned. And I don't think anyone needs to tell you how users get treated around the community once that red text is on their profile.

It's there forever, permanently. I personally don't go around abusing users that have a ban on their account like that because I know, as well as others here, that there are circumstances that can differ with bans on accounts, but not everyone in the community feels and acts this way, sadly.

For some, if you have red text on your profile, you are a cheater, plain and simple, and trying to explain the situation of your mouse causing that, assuming that was the cause, would not make one bit of difference.

I understand you like the mouse, but just think about having that red text on your profile forever. It''s just not worth it.

You asked two questions

* is this cheating
* will this mouse get me banned

The answers are

* yes it is
* yes it will

Again you can take the nonsense hard route and ask every dev on the planet if your mouse may or may not get you banned

Or you know

Get a normal mouse

And if you get macro banned in PUBG or some other game, don’t come whining here saying you weren’t warned
