Average playtime per week for average players? Whats your average time played?

So I am a huge game addict. I have over 700 hour in dota 2. Maybe ~1000 hour if i add all dota accounts. So that game has been my biggest time sink.

In 2 years 4 months, I have logged 1338 hours according to https://steamdb.info

So that's an average of 1.5 hours per day.

But i dont play everyday. Some weekend if game is really captivating i would play 20 hours straight just 1 game in 2 days.(Last week i played banner saga in just 2 days.)

I think i used to have game addiction, But now i am reducing it..But still temptation is there to play dota again..I dont play much anymore because i am terrible at that game and have no desire spending time improving skills in that game.

well, if i have cards to idle and archi is running it goes up to +200 hours in 2 weeks.

if i just normally play, im always at about 50-100 hours within 2 weeks, don't have time for more.


and since a lot of people idle for cards (or for attention...) you can't really take the total playtime serious anymore.

steam trading cards take a while to drop, depending on the game. for some games it's done within 0,5 hours, for other games it can take 5+ hours until you got all trading cards.

so this all adds up to the total "playtime", even if i wasn't really playing.

Oh that makes sense! It would be great if steamdb made average playtime of all players accessible though..

I play about 10 hours a week maximum. I don't have time to play at all. Almost all the games i have are games i want to play but can't.

It's dropped off a lot since 2012 when I started playing TF2 a lot less when the servers I went to started having less and less people and eventually died.

Ya some online games eventually lose popularity and die out..I thought TF2 was still doing pretty decent?

usually i got 5 hour free time everyday. i used to spent much of it playing games with occasional break in between days. but nowadays i try to reduce it as much as possible, and trying to only play only on weekend.

well, easier said than done.

lol, i played that game during highschool time a lot. have conquered europe once. too bad the second game isn't gonna came out yet.

but yeah i need to be more discipline with my time as well.

depending on my hours, and how big my YouTube backlog is and such, I run at probably 20-60 hours per week, unless you count Hentai Heroes, in which case you can probably make that 30-70 or something.

I can average 10 to 20 hours a week depending how much free time I can find. I used to play more before work suffered, I had to cut back.

I know I'm late to the party but 1.5 hours per day is not a that much. I have 55 hours avg weekly on steam. 12950hrs over 9.4 years 7450 on steam the rest in MC, D3, and league. Which is 1377 a year or 4 hrs a day on avg.
