That Daihou clearly was Nylon100%'s work, just mirrored.
Nothing secretive about it. Valve follows the US law in regards to copyrighted material.
The copyright holder needs to file a DMCA with Steam and the game will be removed.
If you feel the game is in violation of such laws, then let the copyright owner know so they can file a DMCA.
Until then, there is no way for any of us to know if the artist gave permission or not for the work to be used. The matter is between the copyright holder and the developer.
Also, it's extremely annoying how those cheap puzzle games just being included in my search results even if I m looking for an action game or RPG, all thanks to the all-inclusive tag system.
I even start to suspect that this is some smear campaign funded by EpicGames to damage Steam's goodwill so they can get ahead!
You do realize you can get all those pics for free and in better resolution/quality from the artists themselves?
also japanese fanworks are usually not a problem to copyright holders - see comiket and the other dojin festivals every year so i am sure they're not bothered by this game either. yes we all know azur lane is chinese but they market to JP audience so similar thought behind it. just relax and enjoy the game
We can say if its nintendo things ofcourse the game may be taking down by nintendo because nintendo is worldwide and have a company in us and other country aswell.
"there is no way for any of us to know if the artist gave permission or not for the work to be used. The matter is between the copyright holder and the developer."
I dont know but this is really sound bad its almost same like steam artwork cuz theres so many people uploap an artwork and saying theyre the one who made it without saying the credits.
In fact i found a some game on mobile they that have anime thing (some weird maid cafe and a game about buying gacha things? I dont like it) but its a game from japan and still connected with the company who have that character or usually if its example naruto or one piece character the money will be split to the real artist. Diffrend with thses kind of game not only stealing but they doesnt even give any money to the real artist.
I can say if they just creating their own anime girl no one will mad but if its a "famous" anime gir that already created by some anime studio in the future one by one someone will complain it.
Not gonna racist but i also report those anime game for copyright if i see a famous character in there. and yes the game wont get banned cuz its doesnt have enought people who want take it down.
I remember i found a app on the store about live deskopt? I dunno but its a community who create the 2d character for the deskopt even the dev saying about the copyright they said they doesnt have copyright for those character its just created by the community. I love how they saying that. Technically people just buying the app from the dev not the art from the fans who made it or the work so i dont thing that a problem for the real artist. Because the dev just making a program to sell not to sell the artwork.
Sure people doesnt care about copyright while its "hentai" thing they'll love it
Funny thing because you doesnt look like love drawing or creating artwork you dont know how it hard and how those people wasting their time there . And what you say about doijin because its free they doesnt sell it on that festival those people just giving support to the one who draw it. He doesnt have copyright for the character diffrend with the game on steam easy grab money and they get more money than those people who drawing manually. Not gonna lie but if you life on japan you may started to hate those game cuz you know why their suicide rate are really high there
I remember theres a similar thread would connected with this. Its about artwork. valve seem doesnt take serious for those artistout there
And for some people who "cant draw" they doesnt care about it they dont know how it hard
Im not suprise because in internet you cant know who steal who made it so it will be hard for valve taking this to be a problem. Well even youtube have this problem if you know rat fat he made lot of cool free music and about couple month ago his song get stealed and get copyright from a small studio because they giving a copyright to that song and get the money to their own youtube channel. If steam using DMCA it can have same problem if those ignorant and lazy people giving those character a copyright "just because they have money" it will be a big problem for the future.. im just afraid if theres a self or small company who doesnt have money to put their copyright to DMCA and make a great characther then some unknow company taking the character and make the copyright for them self because they had money they can do anything
Here's a casual game for adult and children apparently...
https://store.steampowered.com/app/691420/Continuous_Girl/
If these were reviewed and tagged correctly(adult) I wouldn't have a ton of these popping up in my queue and store pages.
Edit : Removed extra word.
i dont know im not a weeb but you dont get the point what op said is why theres a game who steal famous character from other company.well i can tell that "ecchi game" cover its really simillar to fate character game.
