"Oops, looks like your browser was told to deny us microphone access!"

Steam won't let me use my microphone in any game or in voice chats all of a sudden. I was using my mic last night and nothing has changed with my browser since then. how do I fix this?? I've tried allowing apps to use my microphone in Windows setting and Google Chrome settings, yet nothing has worked. I've also restarted steam and my pc multiple times.

thanks for the reply, but soon after I posted this, it fixed itself randomly.
