Report the profile, explain that it got compromised and then decide on your next action. When this happens to one of my friends I always defriend, simply because they can add me again as a friend if they want to (which I'd only accept when they also explain themselves).

Or just block them I suppose... but always report!

have you checked if the link goes to scam site or you're making assumptions? not all people are scammers and sometimes they can send you link to valid game, just to be reported I guess.

If my brother has taught me one thing then its not to click on random links. Im not risking it. And the gamesite was like good-games.space or something. Thats a really fishy name.

well, I can check that from Linux :) it's not gaming site, it's skin gambling site. in this case there's no chance to get legit game. then you should report that user profile because they tried to scam you into entering your steam login on this site (it does not show any site content besides couple of skins without steam login)

I want to point out, and here as advice as well to help protect yourself from future mistakes.

1. If someone started giving you links to questionable things, that does not seem right, or seem off with the person, or the person does "accidentally reported you, blah blah blah, please add this person, and give details, or items/money to this person" or "I'm admin blah blah blah give me something" or "You won item, please visit site, and login with steam details" Then chances are either the person account was hijacked, or the person was a scammer you added, which you want to report the account.

Do note, that support will never contact you, unless you specifically contacted them, and they do not reply by friends chat, nor do they reply on anywhere else, but the Steam service by tickets only, not by discord, not by twitter, noy by skype, facebook, etc, etc, and etc, they only reply by ticket, and only way to contact support is by ticket. So if anyone claiming to be an admin, support, or whatever, do not fall for it, as they try to scam you for your login details, or scam you to give your items to them.

2. There's no site that works with, nor works for Valve / Steam, all sites outside of Steam are 3rd party to Steam, as they have nothing to do with Steam, take cautious what you do. Do not login with login credentials from 3rd party sites, as there always a risk with some of the 3rd party sites that has scam / fake sites to try, and collect your login credentials, to hijack your account. I suggest bookmark these two sites, and only login from these sites only, so you can avoid giving your login credentials on scam / fake sites.
https://store.steampowered.com/
https://steamcommunity.com/

Fake / Scam sites are normally found by visiting gambling / trading sites, which will lead you to fake / scam page, which will ask for login details, instead of having a single click green button. Another you can note is the address as well, which is also another hint of pointing out knowing what site you're really on to begin with as well.

I just got one from games-skin.space about a free game but its a skin gambling site- maybe the same one?
gambling sites won't give you games. you can expect free game from humble bundle, gog, fanatical, indiegala, EGS, itch.io (if you friend has extra key and wants to share it with you or if storefront gives away something) but that's basically all. all other sites, especially with "skin" in their name are not good for getting a game.
you can always google site name with "scam" to see if there's any reports. avoid entering such sites from your Windows PC (in case it has any viruses or low life scripts to steal your data).

Don't use the names in your posts please. That just advertises for them and leads people to think you're trying to scam too.

Somthing you should do, is when going into the website, look for a green lock in the search bar. that means it is trustworthy. However some websites can make it apper like that.

that's true. if someone searches for feedback on that site and sees discussion like we have here, it's hard to take as positive advertisement. some people scream "security" just to scare others.

Except that you are advertising for them, so... stop listening to the words you only want to hear.

REMOVE your stuff, I mean it'll get removed after the post is reported anyway.

Just out of curiousness...

Can you gain access to the Link to the GameKey,
without being signed into STEAM, & without even entering the Link from STEAM,
such as using a Web Browser to access the Link?

Will the Link work that way? Or no???

If it's from Humble Bundle, I think it is safe to check the link,
but if you can't trust the source, i'd avoid it & consider it a scam...
