Steam downloads are already heavily compressed to save traffic.
The game is just that big.
Also, don't use wifi, use a ethernet cable connection.

No, there isn't. Wouldn't be legal anyway.
You could ask a friend to download it, and give you a backup of the game files.

I mean you're already at 70%, and with such slow speeds why you want to reset at that point?

Also not just that but even if they have somewhere else you can download, it will still be that big, so really downloading somewhere else wouldn't make any difference really.

Since you ran out of storage, it's best to make new space for it.

That would make sense of friend can give it to him in person on a USB flash drive, or external storage device big enough to hold that game.

He did not want to do it, it happened.
And he already addressed the space issue.

For anyone who comes here googling, just go to Settings, downloads, and change your download region to somewhere probably unpopular for gaming (northwest Africa, Venezuela, Ukraine, etc.) and watch as your download speed increases to your max bandwidth.

I'm in Los Angeles and was just downloading at 150KB/s, changed my region to west Africa and it instantly went to 100 MB/s.

I have one small question - If your internet is that poor , how can you play the game when it does get downloaded?

That must be a miserable experience.

And yes, ALWAYS dance the download region dance!

Well, I am NOW.

Why do I so often forget to check the bloody date?
