Invite a Friend to Play a Game Does not work.

Me and my friends have been trying to invite to lobby through Killing floor 2 / left 4 dead and other games and is not working.

Can confirm installing Goblin Gearshop and inviting a friend via remote play ticks the objective. Just send the invite to anyone in your friends list, even if they are offline/don't own the game and it works fine.

That’s great news! I can leave the house now without needing to accept friend invites for peeps to grab the achievement :))

So "right-click on a friend to Invite to Lobby" does not work, but inviting someone via remote and turn it off without friend even accepting does the trick. Way to go Steam, send fake instructions

Just shows nothing is gonna change in 2020

That's the thing with Remote Play, you're essentially streaming the game to them to join in.

And for the task to be checked of, the invite itself is enough, yes. The other person doesn't have to accept or even be online.

Hey people - just install Goblin Gearshop (free) and invite any of your friends - they don’t need to own it.
