How do I full screen the profile backgrounds before buying them?

The ones you get for 500 and 700 tokens. Is there a way to full screen the backgrounds?

profile background wallpaper will not expire says on the stuff we buy with tokens.
Only the Mayer Carol profile wallpaper The yellow one will expire in Feb.
Last year Steam updated the chat and friends plus the Steam client itself after that the wallpaper resolution/ dimension was changed and from then on it was like halved. I get the impression everything being designed for small screens mobile devices tablets and such.
