No way to complete "join a chat group" quest

You don't have to make a Chat. Just join a group, any group with active users.

For example, visit https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta. Join the Group. Click the "Enter Chat Room". Wait for the Chat Popup and select the Emoticon Picker (hint the button wrapped in red giftwrapping). Select your sticker and press Enter.

Quest Complete.

It worked now, I closed every chat and re-entered a couple, and it popped.
Not sure how.

I think something may be broken on my end. If I try to open a chat in web browser it tells me to open steam.

If I click the link in steam, I get the spinning blue ball of no.

Ok, what I had to do was open my friends list in the steam client and click around like a moron, then I went to the community hub and joined the Saints Row 2 chat.

I already had the sticker achievement, but I posted a sticker and complained about the difficulty of checking this off the list.

And it did.

so for a less chatty description.

1. launch steam client and log in.
2. Make sure you're logged into friends (I tend to have this off, I think that was the prob)
3. Hit Community, select a hub
4. tap the group chat and let it load
5. post a sticker and maybe chat

That's what I did. I can't say it will work for you, but I certainly tried a lot of things here.

So do the daily missions stack up? Or do the old ones vanish as the days go by?

Every day has new missions (i believe 20 overall), it stacks up in the sense that once you completed all of them, you'll get the key badge for it.

That i don't know, it's supposed to change every day, so you get different missions each day so missing one might not be the best approach i'd assume.

The "Join Group Chat" achievement is wonky. Joined different groups multiple times, got the sticker first try, but still no "Join group chat" checkbox even when I chat/type in the rooms.

I really despise forced social achievements.......

Ok... after joining about 30 different game rooms from the community hubs (you have to follow first) before the button loads the chat for me. Spamming a bunch of random emotes and occasionally typing nonsense in the chat just to be sure.... it triggered for me.

Tedious.
