Steam purchasing limit
During the steam sales (like the ongoing lunar sale right now) i sometimes buy a lot of games. and i mean like yeah...a lot.

but after one or two transactions none of my preferred payment methods work anymore. steam just keeps telling me that the purchase can’t be completed, even if i wait several hours. i know for sure that there is nothing wrong with my bank account and i am not aware of any transaction restrictions that my bank may have.
it just seems like steam does not want to have my money...🧐

does anyone have an idea why steam just won’t let me buy games after a couple of transactions?
is there a daily transaction limit or something like that?

Not the I have found, how many transactions outside Steam. Perhaps there is a limit there. I just add $100 every time no issues.

Did the message say contact support? If so then might want to do that.

Many transactions in a short time can trigger a cooldown and flagyour account in the fraud detection system. Both on Steam's and your bank's (or other payment providers') sites. Try again in a few hours. The sale lasts till Monday 10 am Pacific.
thx, might try it tomorrow again...
tried again this morning. still doesn't work. always get the message:
"Unexpected Error occured. Contact Steam Support."

Yay. Guess I'm really not gonna give my money Steam...whatever.

STEAM Limits how many purchases you can make now,
it's like a form of Baby proofing things, ~_~

I guess...

Thats basically the jist of it...

A work around is, to buy everything at once... & anything you miss,
you'll just have to wait for another Sale to buy...

The Wait period is 24 to 48 hrs, but if that don't work, i'd probably wait a Week,
before trying to spend money again...

I suggest contact support.

Again, if a week doesn't cover it, then there is more likely something wrong...

I've never really had issues by the end of a Week... & it specifically states
24 to 48 hrs, which is 1 to 2 days, but I don't think the hrs are accurate,
because i've given up to 3 Days, & it seems not even 3 Days is enough time...

But giving a week, has always worked for me, so if anyone can confirm the
Exact amount of hrs we need, that would be great?
