Your cache for online content may be a bit crowded, depending on how much you use the overlay and store to browse the net, both on the service and other sites.
I haven't had to do a clean reinstall of the client in years, so there's a lot of baggage involved, but outside of my Steamapps and Userdata folders, my entire client takes up a little over a Gigabyte. That's really not all that much. My AMD driver temp directory takes up as much sometimes when I forget to clean it manually for a few update cycles.
Its your installed games. Go into steamapps/common to see all the individual game folders.
steamapp/common is the default directory for your game installations.
Well it's bloody fantastic that your steam takes up miniscule space but let me remind you, the op is talking about his pc and a problem he is having on his pc, not your pc. Don't be a tosser forever
What problem? OP has a lot of games installed, thats not a problem thats just a confused OP
The OP has no problem, he simply doesn't understand that his Steam folder includes the games.
Which is something Eisberg mentions, as he say that the total Steam folder for him is 70,7 GB.
So actually Eisberg is showing how the OP should look at his folder to determine how much space Steam takes up and why.
His reply is very much on-topic, while yours is not. You are just trying to have a bash at Eisberg without actual reason, so you're actually the tosser here.
How big is his HDD? Not yours, his. It's safe to assume it's smaller than most if space is an issue. Someone with a small drive would say 700mb is big whereas someone with lots of space would say 70gb is big. It's relative. Your specs aren't his.
What is the ops pc experience level? Judging from his posts it's minimal. Does that mean you should berate him or help him? A decent person would help. A knobber would berate. I mean the op clearly states he has minimal experience. Try helping him next time rather than repeatedly typing "sooo" these forums are here to help. Not to try look blasé, cool and alpha.
@OP do you know that all of your games will Be installed in your steamfolder ? Means the more games you install the bigger your steamfolder becomes.
300 gigs is not much
Its like 5 modern games (5x60gigs)
But yes, keep bickering about nonsense, please. OP has expressed himself well enough to not require your pointless hypotheticals and arguing for his sake.
