Left game open by accident and playtime went over refund limit
So I bought Prison architect and tried it out. I did not care for the game(my opinion, don’t take it personally if you really like it) and now I want to refund it. But I got a video link from a friend while playing and got lost in the realm of YouTube videos. I left the game open, and by the time I closed it, my playtime had gone over 2 hours(the max amount of playtime for a steam refund). I would like to refund the game, and not just remove it from my library. Anyone got any tips?
Btw if someone from Valve or someone hbo works at steam reads this, could you try to get me a refund for the game? Thanks in advance to everyone who replies and tries to give me tips.

No one from Valve here. If they said no, accept it and move on.

Welp, that sucks, but you gotta go with it. You'll know to be more careful next time.

This thing where we don't always get what we want and our grievances aren't instantly gratified is generally called "life".

Yeah, I meant like a way to cantact someone from steam like a real coustumer support e-mail oh r live chat or phone number and not the automated options on the games support page. Got any tips on how to get to one of these thing?

You can't, only way is to use Steam support or the Help forums.

But there is no way to tell if you played the game that long or left it open, you'll just have to live with it since you'll prob not get a refund now.

Wish really, really hard.

But it ain't gonna happen. You don't get a refund because you're neglectful and let a game idle past the limit and you're not entitled to jump a queue and contact Steam Support in means other than those set out through https://help.steampowered.com/en/.

It may seem harsh, but you've got to suck it up, buttercup.

Every support request is processed by a human. Using a cookie cutter reply does not mean your request was automated.
You already got your answer from "someone from steam".

I had once refunded For Honor Deluxe Edition from Steam (even thought it also activates on Uplay) and had like 8-10 hours, still had no problem with refund but that was because i proved a bug that some games still keep counting the time after you quit them. I was actually lucky that i had proof of that otherwise i would probably be screwed with a game i played less than 2 hours and didn't like. Otherwise than HAVING A PROOF that such thing occured you probably have weak chances. You said over 2 hours but you didn't say specific how much, sometimes you can still be refunded if it was like 2 hours and 22 minutes or 3 hours even. You can always try but remember that you can raise your chances only with proof.
