Developer can delete negative reviews

I didn't know that and accidently "discovered" it today here..

Is it a new thing?
Why I didn't have notification or anything?

I was "surprised" by "very positive" ratio of reviews of game I own.. so I gave it a try.. and vomit.. so I click "write review" button.. and wrote one.. once I click "Submit" I noticed what there are many comments.. because I already wrote negative review, but developer just removed it..

Cool steam.. that explains those highly upvoted games I have refund recently.

It seems I was too rushy and should have been read through comments to understand the developer and me few lines below were talking about forum topic and not review.. sorry about that, completely my fault.

There is still a question why when posting review I haven't seen previous version?

Developers can't delete reviews as far as i know.

They seem to be referring to a forum post.

Threads in the forum aren't reviews.

Ah, so it's not about review? I recall I did some forum posts indeed.

Was it a steam bug then? When I click "write review" button the edit form was empty.. like it was deleted.

The review is obviously still intact. And it proves that the developer was actually polite and reasonable and even explained why they deleted the thread which you seem to be actually complaining about getting deleted.

Wrong. It wasn't displayed when I click "write review" button. It was just a usual form which you see when you are writing new reivew. The only "obvious" thing is what it wasn't there.

I agree what review probably wasn't deleted, but since I click "post" button it was overwritten.

Could it be something to do with recent steam authorization change? Since month or so if I click "achievement" window from within game it go to profile instead (this happens 100% for the very first click after starting game) and many pages inside Steam aren't displayed as earlier, but with page saying "Autorizing ..." or something like this prior target page..
