How to uninstall a game from steam library without deleting the game datas from my computer?
Hello, I want to uninstall a game from my steam library, I know the game will be still on my library but when I'll try to re-install the game, I have to download the game again and then I'll be able to play. But I just want to uninstall the game without deleting it from my pc so that I don't have to re download it. How can I do it?

#TIA

2 solutions:
1. Steam has a backup function, use that
2. Don't uninstall. If you don't care about the space being used, you've lost all reasons to uninstall. Just don't do it.

Copy the game out to a USB drive when you want it back copy it back into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common
Then rightclick greyed out game in library >properties>local files tab>validate game files, it will search for the files and reactivate them. No need to download again.
Include screenshots, look in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\148981505\760
I do this and it works fine.
If you want uninstall most of your games you could just copy Steam folder.
But!!
Some games saves are in the appdata folder or scattered all over the place. Look for them
If you have cloud sync enabled go here and download your saves for respective game.

if you suspect its broken, then you really should redownload. Although verifying the local game content should help as well.

Then download. What's the point of cooking game files forth and back if you know they're broken and can't be verified?
Uninstall the game from Steam, remove the remaining game folder manually (DO THIS VERY IMPORTANT STEP) and the redownload.

The game data, usually saves and stuff, is usually saved in My Documents folder. Usually only the files required to actually play the game (ones downloaded from installation) is what is removed from your steam folder when you uninstall.

Dude, if the game is broken, right click the game, properties, go to file, and click on check file integrity, see if that does anytrhing

^This. Doing a backup won't fix issue if there's corrupted data. Doing a Back up will only copy the issue, and restoring it you still have the issue. The point to back up is not having to download it if there's nothing wrong with it in the 1st place, such as moving it to another PC, or so on.

Yeah, hopefully OP tries this, have had issues with games before, and usually doing that method of checking file integrity fixes the issue
