They said it was permanent and for serious reasons.
Move on.
What do you mean, it stated that your account was "getting banned?" Did it say your account was already banned or did it say something like your account would be banned within 24 hours and you could trade your items to another account?
If it's the latter, then it's a scam.

What about that Dota gambling site in your name history?
You are not supposed to use the trading system on a commercial base. Small gains are fine. (Hey, else everyone just sellingt their trading cars would be in violation.) But turning a profit of thousands of dollar per year certainly is not.
And this
Clearly falls under
You cannot ignore the partthat clearly applies to you and focus on the gambling.
So I pulled the trigger and said "Please transfer me to Legal". The call was transferred to Canada, they were extremely polite, and I had an xbox 360 delivered to my door 3 days later.
I heard Microsoft Fired Egypt over their poor handling of the RROD crisis, and I'm glad, they sucked.
The replacement 360 worked great, but reset itself to English hours and settings whenever the internet went down.
I sincerely doubt Valve Legal will provide that level of customer service.
What you stated about the RROD is no where near the level of the OP's situation.
